The property was founded in 1935 in an elegant palace of the 19th century which had been closed during the Spanish Civil War. The hotel underwent the last renovation in 2000, but its interiors still conserve some of the furniture and the art pieces from its original period.
On the other hand, the hotel provides a terrace with a little garden and three meeting rooms suitable to organise conventions, business meetings and banquets. One of these lounges is used as a dining room for up to 110 persons and is the most wonderful part of the hotel, being still decorated in elegant style and with 19th century furniture.
This welcoming hotel is located on one of the most important and elegant avenues of Barcelona, Gran Vía de les Corts Catalanes, crossing the whole city. Moreover, it is close to Passeig de Gràcia, the most beautiful avenue of the city, where you will find two important buildings of Gaudí: Casa Batlló and La Pedrera.
The property is also located within walking distance of the Gothic quarter, Las Ramblas and some important museums, such as the Picasso. It furthermore offers quick and easy access by public transportation to all other sites of interest, including the Sagrada Familia, Güell park, Montjuïch or the beaches.
